Jump into Spring and Summer!

As you jump into spring and summer, thoughts often go to getting into shape, spring cleaning, vacations and mini getaways. In this issue we're featuring the BOSU in our exercise section. As you can see by the picture you really can 'jump on it'. You'll learn more about the inventor of the BOSU, David Weck when reading this article. Learn why this piece of exercise equipment is so well received by fitness centers, physical therapy offices and the Olympic Teams! You can also now order your BOSU from the website.

After you have jumped into your new exercise program, you might want to look at clearing out the clutter in your home. "Cleaning the Feng Shui Way," by Jordana will help you understand what Feng Shui is all about and provide you with some great tips for your home and office.

Staying with the Spring cleaning theme Jordana's article on, "Everything you wanted to know about cleaning your colon but we're afraid to ask" is a must read! This sheds light on the various types of hydrotherapy colonics and our own personal experiences. Yes, you read that right! We also embarked on several days of juice fasting as an additional way to "Spring clean" your system. Jordana's "Juice it!" article takes you through the juicing process and provides you with great juicing recipes to try. Jordana's "List of Top 10 Worst New Diets" is a fun spoof on all the diet crazes out there that people try. There are also new health and fitness questions and answers in the Frequently Asked Questions section.

This issue also features my health article on keeping your heart healthy. In "The Beat Goes On," you'll learn about the emotional and physiological aspects of the heart. I find that the heart is the most fascinating organ in the body — that's why I keep writing about it! Check out the new book and movie reviews. Picking from some of the popular books on the market as well as a classic that each of us read in junior high school. Classics are great to go back to and read again and again! Reading is a wonderful gift to pass on to your children, so spend time reading to them and for yourself!

Finally, meal planning and healthy eating is a constant struggle for everyone!! Hopefully each of you will find these new recipes of mine useful and just as yummy!! These are favorites that I use often, and are easy to prepare with our busy schedules. Refreshing and different for family and friends, they have always been a great hit for me!

In closing; as you jump into spring and summer with longer days and shorter nights, take a few minutes each day to clean the cobwebs from your mind and home. Enjoy what these seasons bring you!

In health and wellness.
